Oakton Coins & Collectibles is centrally located in between downtown Evanston & downtown Skokie, very close to the northside of Chicago. We are walking distance from the CTA Yellow Line (Skokie Swift) Oakton stop, and the 97 CTA bus. We offer plenty of free parking in front and more in back.

No appointment needed during regular business hours. Oakton Coins & Collectibles has been configured to maximize everyone’s safety and security.

You are welcome to stop in during business hours with your items, whether it’s a single coin or an entire collection. Most visits are straightforward — we’ll go through everything with you, explain what you have, and answer any questions. There is no pressure to sell. Our shop is designed for privacy and security, and we work with customers one-on-one in a comfortable setting.

The easiest way to get an accurate answer is to bring your items in during regular business hours. In most cases, we can evaluate coins, bullion, gold, silver, jewelry, and small collections faster and more accurately in person than by phone or email.

Best way to reach us

For most customers, visiting the shop is the best option. Descriptions over the phone are often incomplete, and emailed lists usually do not tell us enough about condition, authenticity, weight, or collector value. Seeing the items in person is usually faster for you and more useful for us.

What to Expect When You Visit

Many customers bring in items they’ve inherited or collected over time and are not sure what they have. There is no need to organize or sort anything in advance — we will handle that during the evaluation.
